COSMETIC DENTISTRY:

TEETH WHITENING

Do you have an important interview coming up? Maybe a reunion or a wedding in your family. Perhaps you want to freshen your appearance to improve your self-image. With professional teeth whitening in Oyster Dental Care, you will look your best!
Our whitening system works to eliminate stains and discolorations from tobacco, foods, beverages, and some medications. A specially formulated bleaching gel penetrates the uppermost layers of teeth without altering natural tooth structure. Within two weeks, stains disappear, leaving behind a bright, brilliant smile.

RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY : CROWN AND BRIDGEWORK

Cavities, broken teeth, gum recession or disease and missing teeth can happen to anyone at any time. While checkups, cleanings and daily brushing and flossing go a long way toward maintaining optimal oral health, our mouths endure significant temperature fluctuations, an onslaught from 600 types of bacteria, and crushing pressure every day. Even people with the most diligent oral healthcare routine may, at some point, need restorative dentistry.

CROWN AND BRIDGEWORK

If you have one or more missing teeth in a row, crown and bridgework can rekindle your smile's appearance and comfort. Missing teeth aren't just aesthetically unappealing, they negatively impact your smile's function. Existing teeth may drift out of position and cause problems with jaw joint function and bite alignment.
A bridge contains one or more restorative teeth to fill a gap in your smile. Our designs customise bridgework that looks natural and delivers optimal performance. Before attaching your bridge, we'll crown the teeth on either side of the gap. This fortifies the "anchor" teeth for optimal stability.

WHITE FILLINGS & PORCELAIN CROWNS

We understand our patients desire to maintain an attractive smile. We prefer to place white fillings and crowns when they are durable and lasting. The location of a cavity or crack in a tooth must be factored in when choosing the best restorative material. In most cases though, the teeth that shows in your smile can be repaired with composite resin: tooth-colored fillings or white, custom-shaded porcelain crowns.

AESTHETIC REPLACEMENT TEETH

We’re pleased to offer our patients a variety of options when it comes to replacing missing teeth. Depending on your specific goals and needs, we may recommend a fixed bridge, a partial or full denture or an implant-supported crown. As the closest prosthetic to nature’s design, dental implants offer unrivaled comfort, function and support.
We hold our restorative dental designs to the highest standards. Whether you’re receiving crowns, fillings, a bridge or implant-supported prosthetic, you can expect results that uphold our high standards for quality, longevity and beauty.

ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT

(Metallic or Tooth Colored Ceramic) Dental braces (also known as orthodontic braces, or braces) are devices used in orthodontics that align and straighten teeth and help to position them with regard to a person's bite, while also working to improve dental health. They are often used to correct underbites, as well as malocclusions, overbites, cross bites, open bites, deep bites, crooked teeth, and various other flaws of the teeth and jaw. Braces can be either cosmetic or structural. Dental braces are often used in conjunction with other orthodontic appliances to help widen the palate or jaws and to otherwise assist in shaping the teeth and jaws.
The application of braces moves the teeth as a result of force and pressure on the teeth. There are four basic elements that are needed in order to help move the teeth. In the case of traditional metal or wire braces, one uses brackets, bonding material, arch wire, and ligature elastic, also called an “O-ring” to help align the teeth. The teeth move when the arch wire puts pressure on the brackets and teeth. Sometimes springs or rubber bands are used to put more force in a specific direction.
Braces have constant pressure, which over time, move teeth into their proper positions. Occasionally adults may need to wear headgear to keep certain teeth from moving. When braces put pressure on one's teeth, the periodontal membrane stretches on one side and is compressed on the other. This movement needs to be done slowly otherwise the patient risks losing his or her teeth. This is why braces are commonly worn for approximately two and a half years and adjustments are only made every three or four weeks.
